MOTIVATIONAL FACTORS OF TEACHING UKRAINIAN EDITING TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Background. With the variety of language norms in Ukrainian, school faces a challenging task teaching students how to master effective text creation. The skill is built when schoolchildren are already aware motives actions and operations they carry out with text: comprehension, oral written production, transformation, editing. However, curriculum Ukrainian envisages editing as an additional activity targeted at applying knowledge learned course production. Purpose: aim article determine analyze motivational factors for development competence high their use basis block organization 10th 11th graders secondary learning norms. Methodology. study was conducted November-December 2022; participants were 10th- grade (n=25) 11th- (n=24) specialist philology-oriented № 98 Kyiv. survey included short answer, which mandatory all students, extended optional answer (feedback) could be provided by schoolers who demonstrated persistent cognitive interest various aspects well research framework designed authors article; its implementation involved consulting assisting four literature teachers above-mentioned school: them professionals 9-16 years experience instructed advance.
